While I was out last night doing our bit for Mother Earth by recycling at Clinton's less than stellar recycling area I came across this little treasure in the metal recylcing bins.
I heard it whisper, "Save me, Kelly. I don't deserve this fate!". So I reached in there and rescued Miss Apple Tin from becoming a can or two of green beans. One woman's trash is another one's treasure. The Thrifty Chicks would be so proud of me!

Good find...my husband actually goes in the recycling bins to find treasures, when he does this 10 other people show up to do their recycling and see a man in the bin (they probably think he is homeless).
that is cute!!
Hi Kelly,
It never ceases to amaze me what some people throw away! I love that tin. What are you going to use it for?
I don't have a recyling site near me, but I have found all sorts of wonderful things in charity shops. They're cheap so I'm getting a bargain, it's one less thing to end up in a landfill and the charity makes some money. It's a win-win situation!
In the current economic climate, Thrift just makes sense - it's definitely the new buzzword. To that end, I posted some ideas on being thrifty recently on my website.
Cheers, Teresa
Very cute find! "One woman's trash is another one's treasure" for sure! :)
